The Norwegian Petroleum Society takes great pleasure in inviting you to
this year’s conference on “Intelligent fields and Integrated Operation”.
The main objective of this chain of conferences is to stimulate knowledge-sharing and learning across the industry and be the meeting place for oil companies, suppliers and authorities within Integrated Operations. Last year’s conference had over 160 participants and this year we are expecting even more!
This year, we have chosen as the main theme for the conference the interplay between an Intelligent World and Intelligent Fields.
We are living in revolutionary times, with exponential changes in technology:
-Interconnectivity may be available anytime, anywhere.
-More and more sensors are available, and they can be interconnected.
-With significantly larger computer power, we can mine data and run models and analytics in ways which were not possible just a few years ago
These three factors are leading to a smarter world, as we see in medicine, metrology forecast, traffic management, logistics, trading, etc.
For us, working with intelligent fields/integrated operations, the possibilities to learn from, and contribute to, a smarter world are wide open. How we manage change to harness these technologies and how we change our management style to emphasize collaboration across boundaries and include all stakeholders are the questions we will address in this conference.
Reflecting these choices, we will have four sessions, with focused and shorter presentations and plenary discussions at the end of each session. Some of the topics in the sessions will be:
-A Smart World: what are the possibilities, concrete examples, what can we learn from this trend?
-Smart Fields: case examples, new technologies, what our students can dream of as new, practical ways of working
-Change Management and Management Change: collaborative leadership, drawing on expertise across barriers, taking advantage of diversity and inclusiveness
-Moving Forward Faster: large changes take time, new business models have to evolve, standardization versus creativity, some companies will change faster and the future will be theirs...
Welcome to Stavanger in April!
